Venue

UC San Diego is located in La Jolla, California near the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The conference site is Atkinson Hall, the headquarter of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2). All plenary sessions will take place at:

• Take the Interstate 5 freeway
• Exit La Jolla Village Drive
• Head west on La Jolla Village Drive
• Turn right at the first light past the freeway on Villa La Jolla Drive
• Turn right at the second light on Gilman Drive
• Turn left at the stop sign on to Voigt Drive
• At the intersection past Canyonview Pool, turn right (still on Voigt Drive)
• Continue on Voigt Drive, and then turn right into parking lot P502.

3. Head West (From the I-5 North, it would be a left turn;
I-5 south would be a right merge)
4. Turn Left @ North Torrey Pines Road

A permit is always required if you wish to park on the UCSD campus during the week and may be purchased for $7 a day at several locations [link].

Conference participants are encouraged to park in Lot P705 with a one day permit [link]. If you plan to park in a different lot, use your one day permit to park in the green or yellow spaces only [link].

A regularly scheduled campus shuttle [link] will be available to pick up and drop off attendees from Lot P704 to the Price Center between 6:30 am and midnight every 15 minutes [link]. Follow the signage from the Price Center to Atkinson Hall, where the conference will be held. More information, maps, and directions can be accessed at or through the UCSD parking website [link].

Hotels

There are a number of hotels at differing rate levels in the vicinity of the UC San Diego campus. Conference organizers are arranging special rates, to be announced shortly. But the nearest hotel to the conference venue is the Residence Inn by Marriot [link].
